Grigor Dimitrov entered the Main Draw in Honolulu
-->After a tough win in the second round against Joel Lindner /Australia/ 7-5 3-6 7-5, Grigor had to play Brian Battistone /USA/ in the third round of the Qualies at the Honolulu Challenger. Dimitrov had no problem defeating the 30-year-old Battistone in two sets: 6-1 6-2. Bulgarias first racket gained 3 ATP ranking points for his passing to the Main Draw.
Dimitrovs first match in the main draw will be on Wednesday, 27 January 2010. He will play against Michael Yani /USA/, Seed 6 and ATP rank 159. Dimitrov has faced Yani twice in his career and he has defeated the American both times – once at the Charlottesville Challenger last year and again this year in Noumea, New Caledonia.
