The scandal is growing

The scandal around Grigor Dimitrov is growing. All world media reported Grigor’s behavior at the tournament in Helsinki, where he was rude to the umpire and pushed him of his chair. General view is that his behavior was totally unacceptable. However, it is still not known whether he will be punished more severely.

A journalist from the popular site Tennistalk Ricky Dimon even called Grigor “an idiot” on his Twitter account.

The Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov, who is close to Grigor, asked the journalist not to make such qualifications: “Funny how a reporter can offend a tennis player and nobody complains about that.”

“Nadal would never push an umpire … and neither would you,” answered the journalist.

“If something like this would have happened to him, we would see how his PR Manager activates the machine and proves that Nadal was right to do so. Have you not watched the tournaments when Federer was still young, wasn’t № 1 in the rankings and had no sponsors to worry about” replied Tursunov, referring to Federer’s short-tempered nature when he was young.

“Nadal wouldn’t do such thing because his image will suffer. Remember what happened to Serena? You have no idea who would do what in witch situation. All you know about these tennis players comes from the press. But have you ever had a cup of tea with one of them? Doing a stupid thing does not make one stupid… You insult the intelligence of a man you don’t even know,” wrote the Russian tennis player.

“You’re right. I have to say that what Dimitrov did is an idiotic act. I take back what I said about him being an idiot,” apologized Ricky Dimon.

“To write negative stuff always sells a story. But if you want this story to become even more outrageous why don’t you go to Dimitrov and tell him in person that he is an idiot. Then write what happened. Surely this will sell even better, “said Dmitry Tursunov.
