Grigor Dimittrov lost to Donald Young in Honolulu
Best Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov was defeated by the former Junior #1 Donald Young /USA/ in the second round of the Honolulu Challenger. Young won both sets with score 4-6, 6-7.
In the first round Grigor surprised everyone by defeating #6 of the main draw Michael Yani /USA/ 6-2 7-6(3). This is the third time Grigor defeates Yani in the last four months.

Grigor Dimitrov entered the Main Draw in Honolulu
After a tough win in the second round against Joel Lindner /Australia/ 7-5 3-6 7-5, Grigor had to play Brian Battistone /USA/ in the third round of the Qualies at the Honolulu Challenger. Dimitrov had no problem defeating the 30-year-old Battistone in two sets: 6-1 6-2. Bulgarias first racket gained 3 ATP ranking points for his passing to the Main Draw.

Grigor Dimitrov lost at Australian Open
Young Dimitrov lost to Robert Kendrick in the first round of the qualifications of the Australian Open tournament 7-6(4) 3-6 6-3. Kendrick was Seed 17 of the qualifications and ATP rank 139, but his best ever ranking was in July last year, when he was #69.

Grigor Dimitrov moves 7 positions ahead in the ATP Rank List
Grigor Dimitrov, who was pronounced Bulgaria’s best tennis player few days ago, is now number 289 in the ATP Rank List with 149 points. Nuber one is still Roger Federer.
In the doubles Grigor reached his best ever ranking – 346.

Grigor Dimitrov at the ATP Challenger in Denmark
Today is Grigor’s first match at the ATP Chalenger in Kolding, Denmark with prize money 42 500 €. In the first Round he is going to play against seed #1 of the main draw Jarkko Nieminen /Finland/. Nieminen has ATP Rank 72, but back in 2006 he has reached #13 by winning his first ATP title in Auckland and by reaching to the qarter-finals of Wimbledon.
