Grigor Dimitrov dropped out of “Queens club” tournament

Bulgaria’s first racket Grigor Dimitrov failed in the second round of the “Queens club” tournament in London with a award fund of 750 000 euro. The talent succumbed to the number 7 in the world and France’s best tennis player Gilles Simon with 6-7 (7), 6-7 (5) in 1 hour and 50 minutes.

The first set was won by Simon with a tiebreak after he could achieve a single break. The young Bulgarian tennis player was several time close to a break but was unlucky. In the tiebreak the French showed stronger nerves and had the success in 49 minutes.

The second set started as the first one and the two players exchanges several games. Thus they reached the 6th game, in which Dimitrov broke the service of the French player and got ahead with 4:2. Simon showed class and immediately returned the break. Later, the French took his own service – game, which made the result even. Thus the two players reached a new tiebreak, which was again won by Simon.

Simon’s victory over Grigor Dimitrov is his second one after the success in Marseille some months ago.
